Hey — welcome to the CAWZ Coalition blog. We're a youth-led organization based in Colorado, and this is where we'll share updates from the field, stories from our team, and honest reflections on what it means to do this work.
We started CAWZ because we couldn't bear to look away. Children in active war zones are the most vulnerable victims of conflict, and we believe young people have both the energy and the responsibility to do something about it.
Why a blog?
Because transparency matters. Because storytelling matters. And because we want you — our donors, volunteers, and community — to actually know what's happening with the work you support.
"compassion is the bare minimum." ðŸ»
So here we are. This blog will cover everything from behind-the-scenes looks at our supply drives to updates on what's happening in Lebanon, to honest reflections on running a youth-led nonprofit from Colorado.
What to expect
- Updates on our Bear Necessities and Bear Hugs programs
- Stories from the team and our community
- Event recaps and upcoming announcements
- Honest reflections on the challenges and wins
Thank you for being here. Whether you've donated, volunteered, or just shown up to read this — you're part of something real. We'll see you in the next post.
